Candidate Services

At Datacom, the welfare of our employees is vitally important to us. We work extremely hard to maintain a highly competitive employee benefits program, which is summarized below.

Application Fees

Datacom does not assess any form of application fee on candidates seeking employment through our firm.

Placement Fees

Datacom does not assess any form of placement fee on candidates seeking employment through our firm. Any fees associated with the placement of a candidate with a client are paid by our client, the hiring company.

All employees of Datacom assigned to perform work for one of our clients on a contract basis are eligible to receive the benefits listed below.

Sponsored Benefits

The following benefits are sponsored by Datacom for its employees. The cost to the employee of these benefits varies based on the benefit options selected by the employee.

Medical Insurance

All eligible employees and their eligible family members may enroll in the Global Technology Group medical insurance plan. The full (100%) premium for the employee is paid by Datacom. Employees are liable for fees associated with coverage provided to eligible family members.

The following items are included as part of the company's medical insurance plan:

  • Preventative Care
  • Life Insurance & Accidental Death Benefits
  • Physician Office Visits
  • Prescription Drug Program
  • Emergency & Hospitalization
Dental Plan

A comprehensive dental plan is available to all eligible employees and eligible family members.

Section 125 Cafeteria Plan

A Section 125 Cafeteria Plan helps you keep more of your paycheck by effectively reducing your Federal and State tax liabilities. It allows you to pay certain expenses before taxes are deducted from your paycheck. These expenses include daycare, insurance premiums and most out-of-pocket medical costs.

401K Program

All employees with greater than 90 days with the company are eligible for participation in the Datacom 401K program, which allows participants to save money tax-deferred for retirement. Datacom does not currently provide matching funds.

Benefits Insurance Continuation

The Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act (COBRA) gives workers and their families who lose their health benefits the right to choose to continue group health benefits provided by their group health plan for limited periods of time under certain circumstances.

Supplemental Insurance

Datacom offers supplemental life insurance and other supplemental insurance options to its employees.

Provided Benefits

The following benefits are provided to employees of Datacom at no cost to the employee.

Disability Insurance

Short term disability (STD) pays a percentage of your salary if you become temporarily disabled, meaning that you are not able to work for a short period of time due to sickness or injury (excluding on-the-job injuries, which are covered by workers compensation insurance).

Long term disability helps replace income for an extended period of time after the short term disability period has expired if you are still unable to work due to sickness or injury (excluding on-the-job injuries, which are covered by workers compensation insurance).

Vacation Pay

After 12 months of continuous service each employee is eligible for 10 days of paid vacation annually. After 5 years of continuous service employee is eligible for 15 days of paid vacation annually. After 10 years of continuous service each employee is eligible for 20 days of vacation annually. Vacation pay eligibility is calculated from the employee's date of hire.

Holiday Pay

All employees that have been employed for 30 days are eligible for the following paid Holidays:

  • New Years
  • Good Friday
  • Memorial Day
  • Independence Day
  • Labor Day
  • Thanksgiving & the day after
  • Christmas
Worker's Compensation

Worker's compensation insurance is maintained by Datacom as required by law.

Please ask your staffing consultant for additional information about any of these valuable benefits.
